I've always had a passion for the outdoors. From being dragged through the woods by my mother in a little red wagon looking for wildflowers, to chasing my father through the woods on a squirrel hunt, to pulling a bucket full of bluegills out of a lake, most of my earliest memories are outdoors. By the age of 6 I was trusted with my own pocket knife, by 8, a hatchet. Those early experiences, and basic tools were the start of an obsession with the wilderness, and the tools that brought it closer. That Barlow knife and fiberglass-handled hatchet were lost long ago, but the love of the outdoors, and appreciation of good equipment has endured.

I founded LeValley Outdoors L.L.C. to help others discover that same love. To make it, at least in some small way, more accessible.

Years of trying to find good equipment has lead to a sad realization. For the most part, products are split into 2 categories, inexpensive but poorly made, or of high quality, but with a price tag that discourages the average person. Every product I sell has to live up to a very simple standard....is it something I consider worth buying? Is it well enough made? Does it work? Is it a good enough value? If it doesn't pass that very simple test, I won't sell it.
