Custom Tool Restoration
With 10 years of practice under my belt, I have experience working on a wide variety of hand tools. From cleaning up family heirlooms to hang on the wall, to fully functional restorations of tools that simply aren’t being made any more for the discerning craftsman I can help bring your old tools back to life.
Private Instruction and Workshops
Some skills are simply best learned through practice and correction of form. From one-on-one instruction to workshops for groups of up to 30 can be accommodated for certain skills. Some subjects can be covered remotely via video-call but in-person instruction is always preferred and some things will require in-person sessions.
Speaking Engagements
Have an event coming up where you need an engaging speaker that doesn’t just rely on a slideshow and reading from a script? From the history of the axe to explaining all the basic woodworking tools a person might need to build and maintain an off-grid homestead, presentations can be customized to suit your event and pretty much always involve actual physical examples of the tools being discussed for attendees to inspect and ask questions about.
Consulting
Have a project coming up and you’re not quite sure what tools you need or where to find them? I can help. From helping you find the prefect hatchet to throw in a backpack, to helping you put together a set of tools to not only build a cabin, but all the furniture inside. In the case where some significant portion of recommended tools are purchased through me a discount toward the purchase may be applied to offset the cost of the consultation.
